Right, so I finally managed to get myself a development machine. Many thanks to everyone who donated to miniMIZE, you all helped me to get the machine, so thank-you very much.
I have begun development on miniMIZE again and hope to release a new version soon. I am also getting a copy of Windows Vista and have some plans for some Vista specific features. My new machine is also 64 bit, so I hope to be able to ensure 64 bit compatability at some point.

 miniMIZE on Windows Vista As the screenshot above shows, miniMIZE is capable of running on Windows Vista. All you need to do is turn on "Windows XP Service Pack 2" compatability for miniMIZE. I don't have Vista, but I assume it is the same as setting the compatibility mode for an application on Windows XP. Right-click the application exe (miniMIZE.exe in this case) and choose properties, then select the Compatability tab.

The miniMIZE project has just had it's first donation!
I would like to take this time to personally thank Christian Eibler for donating money to the miniMIZE project. The money will be stored in paypal until such time as I can put it towards anything that I require to aid me in my development of miniMIZE and other free applications.

I noticed today that searching for 'minimize' on Google brings up the miniMIZE project page as the first search result. I don't know about anyone else, but I think that's pretty cool!
Not sure how long it will last, but it's nice for now. |
