Anyways, I needed some money today, so I stopped at the petrol station to use the ATM. I walk up to the machine and before I put my bank card in, I notice that the machine has no R100 notes and no R20 notes (it has a little icon on the screen to inform you of this). So, I'm thinking to myself, well, if I ask for R150 I should be ok because it can give me 3 R50 notes. So I type that in. And it comes back with, "We're unable to facilitate tbe requested amount, is R140 ok?". Now I'm thinking, well, that is weird, but maybe they're running low on R50 notes and for some reason only want to give me 4 R10 notes (I have no idea what algorithm they use to determine what notes to give). So I say, ok, sure, why not, I mean R10 less isn't a major thing.
And What do I get out? A R100 note and 2 R20 notes. Go figure.
