Arul Visitor	[BUG] Cant get miniMIZE to work - 2005/09/14 10:18 Hi, First of all thanks for the great program (although still in its infancy). I tried it on my work PC and it worked really well. It doesnt do anything on my home PC though. I have a dual monitor (20.1"@1600x1050 and 17"@1280) setup. It asks me on which monitor it should place the icons, but doesnt work on either. Also I use HYDRA (ati's multimonitor utility) and Ultramon. Could these have anything to do with this? I have tried restarting the app and windows, but no use. I also tried to deactivate miniMIZE but that would not work either.

Gary Visitor	Re:[BUG] Cant get miniMIZE to work - 2005/09/15 14:36 Same problem here. I can start it up and it sits in my tray but it doesn't do anything to my minimized apps. As a test I tried it under a virtual XP machine and it worked fine. So there is something on this particular system that is preventing miniMIZE from working. I do use a custom visual style if that makes a difference.

I'll see if I can throw together a test case. No I don't. I downloaded a program called trayit that also captures minimized apps and places them in the tray instead of on the taskbar. That worked perfectly on my system. Of course it doesn't do exactly what miniMIZE does, ie., place a graphical representation of the minimized program on the desktop. Obviously there is something on my system that miniMIZE doesn't like. If I had some idea of the things that might conflict with it maybe I can narrow it down. My next step is to run it under Safe mode and see what happens.

Gary Visitor	Re:[BUG] Cant get miniMIZE to work - 2005/09/16 08:39 Works just fine under Safe Mode. Wonder if it's my graphics drivers? I have an ATI Radeon x850xt and using the latest CAT drivers (5.8). Arul appears to have an ATI card too. Wonder what CAT he is using? Maybe a video setting I am using is causing this? I'll play around with them and see what happens.
