Re:miniMIZE 80 à 92% CPU used - 2006/10/26 10:31 Hi,

my laptop is a Core 2 duo computer, and yes, I was minimizing my programs to the lower right corner, near the task tray. I just reinstalled minimize and have positioned the minimizing to go to the top left corner of my desktop, and so far, so good (although I've only had it for a few minutes, but before, my CPU use would rocket up within a few seconds). I hope you can find a permanent fix for it, but otherwise, it's a beautiful program!

Re:miniMIZE 80 à 92% CPU used - 2006/12/12 15:12 I'm still having the >90% CPU problem, but I just discovered something that may be useful.

I'm writing an application that installs a shell hook to trap the HSHELL_GETMINRECT message so I know when any window is maximized or minimized. I am guessing you are hooking the same message in miniMIZE. I could not get the hook to work. I could get every other action, but I never saw HSHELL_GETMINRECT. I stripped my code down to a small console exe and a simple DLL that just writes the shell hook messages using Outputdebugstring and watched them in DebugView from SysInternals. Every code came through except for '5' which is HSHELL_GETMINRECT.

I found that Norton Antivirus was gobbling up the message and not passing it to the hook chain. I uninstalled NAV and I could finally see the min/max actions. I installed NAV again, and sure enough the problem came back. Not sure what other problems NAV is causing, but it could account for some random bugs being reported to the forum..

Just thought you would want to know, caused me endless pain for days...

Re:miniMIZE 80 à 92% CPU used - 2007/03/19 17:35 Thanks for all the help and ideas guys. I actually have fixed this bug. Turns out that the method I was using to draw my window shadows was having an effect on this. I'm not exactly sure why this particular behaviour is exhibited, but I have sorted it out and will have the fix in the next release. miniMIZE developer ~ Donate to miniMIZE

Re:miniMIZE 80 à 92% CPU used - 2008/10/01 04:36 HI. Firstly this apoplication is exactly what I have been looking for for a long time, so well done... but just want to add that I too am getting very high CPU use after about 1 hour of using it, and so have to close it down. I downloaded the latest release today which is miniMIZE 1.0.37.

Re:miniMIZE 80 à 92% CPU used - 2008/12/26 02:21 Hi there !
First of all, this is a great app except for the reported problem.
In my case the cpu starts to race after a couple of hours.
If i just expand my minimized windows all is well again.
I have a Amilo Xi 2528, Win Vista Home Premium 32 bit.
Im using firefox, skype, avg, vuze etc.
A solution to this problem would bee much appreciated,
but if nothing happens i might have to uninstall this nice app.

Ps. merrry xmas and a happy new year to u all Ds.
