Re:miniMIZE 80 à 92% CPU used - 2006/05/18 08:29 I found it! net6 is right. The problem is caused by the tooltips (in my case automatic balloon tooltip of downloads manager in the system tray, when it finishes all downloads)

Re:miniMIZE 80 à 92% CPU used - 2006/06/14 07:23 Ok, thanks for all the info and attempts to figure out what is up. I will spend some time looking into that. It really helps having somewhere to start. Thanks guys. miniMIZE developer ~ Donate to miniMIZE

Re:miniMIZE 80 à 92% CPU used - 2006/06/27 06:19 I have experienced the same problem.

On my computer, it happens the first time I run Ms. Powerpoint 2000 (9.0.3821).

Still a great utility !
good job, & good luck to improve it

Re:miniMIZE 80 à 92% CPU used - 2006/08/01 09:00 I love the application, but I can't run it for more than 5 mins without it topping out my CPU. If you ever need to test a build or get out debug info, I seem to have the perfect test case for the 100% CPU bug..

On a side not.e. Have you seen
VisualTaskTips

I think it complements miniMIZE pretty well as TaskSwitchXP

I'm a C++ developer, and I spend all day in front of this box, anything that can make it less aggravating and cut down on the number of mouse clicks, I'm for it. Having a couple of different ways to do the same thing, depending on where I am working is a big plus. That's why I like miniMIZE.

Re:miniMIZE 80 à 92% CPU used - 2006/10/22 15:44 I have Minimize taking up 40 percent or so of my new laptop's CPU whenever I run it. I love the idea but I had to uninstall for now. I don't undersand- the only things I tried to "miniMIZE" were AIM buddy windows and an IE window. I believe even when I did not miniMIZE anything with the program, it would still use up a considerable amount of my CPU.

Re:miniMIZE 80 à 92% CPU used - 2006/10/24 16:24 Hi Sea,

that is very weird. Do you have a duo core or hyperthreaded processor? In that case it might appear as if miniMIZE is taking 40-50% processor, which would look like 100% on a single proc machine. This is a known bug that I am attempting to track down, however it shouldn't be a common occurance. We have managed to trace it to when a tooltip from an icon in the tray pops up over a miniMIZWd thumbnail. In other words, if you keep all miniMIZEd thumbnails away from the taskbar you should be ok. You can also get miniMIZE to return to normal cpu use by restoring the particular thumbnail that the tooltip poped up over.

Please let me know if that helps as a work around until I can figure out how to fix this.
