 [Bug] lose some miniMIZEd icons on explorer crash - 2006/01/20 20:19 Explorer crashed, and all the programs that were set to "Pin to Desktop" were no longer visible when minimized. The only way I can switch to them is with alt-tab (or using the task bar). I tried changing the overall setting level to "Normal" and then minimizing those programs, but still nothing. I had to close & restart them all the affected applications.

Also, I may remember having seen this on the message boards, but if an application crashes while it's miniMIZEd, the miniMIZEd icon stays around and I can't get rid of it. I've been setting their opacity to 10% and sticking them in the corner of the screen.

Thanks for that bug report. That is really weird because miniMIZE doesn't cache the desktop window. I will look into it tho and see if I can work out why that is happening.

As for the problem of orphaned thumbnails when an application dies, I am busy building in a way for miniMIZE to detect that, so it shouldn't be a problem much longer. miniMIZE developer ~ Donate to miniMIZE

I have also fixed the problem with orphaned thumbnails. miniMIZE developer ~ Donate to miniMIZE

Apologies if this is a known issue but..

There is no way to restore minimized thumbnails after clicking on 'Show Desktop' , have a little program called Stickies (Sticky notes on desktop - these all dissapear when clicking show desktop, but clicking the tray icon restores them straight away ?).

The position tab is a welcome addtition - any plans to extend it to allow setting of all the margins (e.g. left, right, top bottom).

Re-using space of closed programs - know this has been mentioned before, just wondered if it was in the works ? Not the end of the world if not - would just look a bit tidier.

Extending the position tab would be my number one request.

Good job on the bugs by the way, so far this release seems fairly stable and has not caused any problems - it even seems to cope with programs that mimimize to the system tray (but I need to do some more checking).

Great work, excellent releae - keep up the good work .
